I Want A Greyhound (IWaG) Inc. is a registered not-for-profit greyhound rehoming, education and support charity.

IWaG’s mission is to find forever pet homes for all greyhounds placed in our care.

The founders, members, volunteers and supporters of IWaG are passionate about greyhound welfare. We are opposed to the harming of any animal and the use of animals for entertainment.

One of IWaG’s core philosophies is that we will not harm other animals while undertaking our greyhound rehoming work. Examples include a prohibition on the sale of animal products.

As well as rehoming, we believe it is important to focus on educating the wider community about the welfare of greyhounds by building a strong, supportive greyhound loving community and network of partners.

Hound of the Month

Meet China!

Gorgeous China is an affectionate and playful 2 year old female. She can be a little nervous in new situations but warms up quickly. China shares her foster home with another hound, young children, teenagers, a small fluffy dog and a cat! She loves the kids, gets along well with the other dogs and is not at all concerned with the cat. China's routine vet work is complete so she is ready and waiting for her forever pawrents.

Hounds in homes

Robert, Bobby, Bob dog, Big ears, Long dog. These are just a few of Bob's nicknames!

He is a sweet, cheeky boy who continues to surprise his Mum & Dad with new funny traits as he settles into his home. They have found that when he is happy, Bob will let out crackly gurgles and if you scratch behind his ears in *just* the right spot he will produce deep groans of satisfaction.

Bob’s favourite pastimes include going to local parks for his morning walks, taking long car rides on the weekends and landscaping his backyard.
