Joel is a gentle, affectionate boy with a playful side and serious cuddle credentials. He loves visitors, quickly progressing from shy introductions to leaning all over them and demanding pats as payment.

Joel is a seasoned pet-life snoot who is fully house-trained, loves hopping into the car for an adventure, and enjoys a lovely wander along the beach at sunset.

He gets along beautifully with dogs of all shapes and sizes, walks calmly around wildlife, and may benefit from sharing his home with another friendly dog.
 

In foster care, Joel has quietly ticked off some very big milestones. He’s mastered the stairs, is well-suited to apartment living, and made great progress with his alone time. He can manage up to seven hours when occasionally needed, though he’d still prefer a home where someone is around more often.
 

At home, Joel loves playing with his toys and snoozing by the window. Building works and machinery don’t faze him, he’ll just sleep through it all. New people and suspiciously rustling dry leaves? Those may require a little more investigation, though he usually comes to the conclusion that they’re acceptable.

Joel also takes daily eye drops for pannus, which will be ongoing. He handles them like the very best boy he is.

Joel has been blossoming into a social butterfly, and proved already that he is a sweet, goofy companion and ultimate cuddle bug.
